• Kelli Turner of Mount Prospect has been hired as Aquatic Supervisor with Oak Brook Park District. Turner brings four years of aquatic experience with her after holding positions of seasonal aquatic supervisor, program director and pool manager with River Trails Park District in Mt. Prospect. She will work primarily with youth aquatics for the Park District.
• Miguel Quinones of West Chicago was named PeaceBuilder of the month at Community High School District 94 in West Chicago. Several teachers nominated the senior for the recognition. "Miguel is one of the most eloquent speakers that I have ever taught -- his charm and tact are unmatched," said Social Studies teacher John Chisholm. "He does little things like holding doors for students, picking up dropped items and pushing in chairs." Quinones says the person who has been his role model for peace is his mother. "She always stays calm and collected regardless of the position she is in," said Quinones. "She's nice to everyone."
• John Wandolowski of Wheaton is the new director of Facilities Planning and Construction/Operations and Maintenance at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. In the role, He oversees the college's comprehensive Facilities Master Plan as well as the day-to-day operations of the college's facilities, including buildings, grounds, custodians and engineers. Wandolowski previously served as senior facility director at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
• Justin Radichel of Romeoville has joined Chicago North Financial Group in Itasca as a Financial Services Representative. The firm, an office of MetLife, Inc., provides financial products and services such as life insurance, disability income, long-term care insurance and annuities, mutual funds and investment products. Radichel, a licensed Series 63 Representative qualified to be a securities agent in Illinois, is a graduate of University of St. Francis in Joliet.
