Saturday

• On Saturday, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School in Elgin is holding its 22nd annual "Doorway to the Holidays" craft show and turkey luncheon.

This year's event, which also includes a cookie walk and bake sale, will be at the church's Christian Life Center, 195 Nesler Road, off Route 20 in Elgin. The craft show will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door. For more information, call the school office at (847) 741-7795.

• One-of-a-kind hand-knitted children's items made by the Shawl Ministry of St. Hugh of Lincoln's Episcopal Church and a collection of handmade gifts will be featured at the Tea and Treasure's Sale on Saturday. In addition to a seasonal bake sale, special treasures will be offered. Tea, coffee and sweets will be served in the Highland Tea Room. • Highland Christian Academy in Elgin will hold its 16th annual Fall Craft Fair and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For details, call the office at (847) 741-5530 as soon as possible. A variety of handcrafts and artworks will be offered by participating crafters, as well as home-baked goodies and refreshments. Highland Christian Academy is in the Highland Fellowship Church building at 2250 W. Highland Ave., just east of Randall Road in Elgin.

• St. Thomas More School's annual craft fair and bake sale, "Holiday in the Halls," will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The craft bazaar will be held at the school, 1625 W. Highland Ave., Elgin. This is a juried show featuring more than 80 booths of handmade crafts, baked goods, and raffles. For booth information, call Laura Przybylski at (847) 888-4363.

• Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church's Christmas Bazaar and Bake Sale is set from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Cosman Cultural Center cafeteria, 12051 Mill St., Huntley. Cookie decorating is from 10 a.m. to noon. Crafts will include doll clothes, afghans, baby sweaters, toys, dish cloths, pot holders, scrubbies, towels, totes, slippers, angels, Christmas ornaments and much more. Nov. 10

• The Ladies Auxiliary of Tri-City Evergreen Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2298 will hold a holiday arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the post home, 117 S. Nov. 17

• The 28th annual Seton Christmas in the Country Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at Crystal Lake South High School, 1200 S. McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. More than 75 juried crafters and artisans are participating, including pottery houses and Santas, tree skirts, wall hangings, olive wood religious pieces, several types of jewelry, handmade baskets, personalized metal signs, wood items, centerpieces and wall hangings, soaps, dry soup mixes, doggie treats, soy candles, ornaments, and hand-knit doll sweaters and clothes. The parish will sponsor a bake sale, candy sale, food court, religious Advent calendars, Oplatek, and raffles. Admission is $1. The event is sponsored by the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Women's Group. Nov. 23

• "Santa Comes to Hampshire Craft Show" will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 23 at Hampshire Middle School, 560 S. State. In addition to free photos with Santa, there will be entertainment, crafts and kids' games. Food will be available for purchase. Crafters needed. Nov. 30

• The Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital will sponsor its annual Craft and Vendor Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the main lobby and ground level meeting rooms of the hospital. Fifteen percent of the sales from this show will be donated to area food pantries. Crafters are still being accepted for this show. Dec. 1

• St. John Lutheran Church Ladies Society will hold its annual bazaar, "Christmas Delights," from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at St. John Lutheran Church, 13N535 French Road, Burlington. There will be Christmas decorations, crocheted and knitted items, kitchen items, embroidery, quilts, baked goods, and lunch will be available for purchase. • A Holiday Cookie Walk will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 First St., Cary. Get a start on the holidays and choose from a huge selection of cookies at $8 a pound. Proceeds of the sale will be given to local and global missions. It is sponsored by United Methodist Women. • The second annual "Mall in the Halls" craft show and bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at Creekside Elementary School, 655 N. Airlite St., Elgin. • Chesak and Martin elementary schools' parent-teacher associations are sponsoring a Holiday Craft Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at Hannah Martin Elementary School, 10920 Reed Road, Lake in the Hills. Vendors will be selling jewelry, candles, personalized ornaments, doll clothes, picture frames, fleece hats, scarves and blankets, baby items and more. Many items will be priced under $5. • The Association for Individual Development is seeking crafters for the eighth annual Keeler Center Christmas Craft Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 1 at 409 W. New Indian Trail Court in Aurora. In addition to the crafts, children will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa, and baked goods and lunch will be available for purchase. Crafters may reserve a 10- by 8-foot table space by calling Kim B. or MaryAnn at (630) 966-4252. Those who reserve before Nov. 9 will receive $5 off the $25 entry fee.
