Peach Dessert Cake
1 cup cake flour1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar1 teaspoon lemon zest2 eggs4 peaches, peeled and slicedTopping 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup chopped walnutsHeat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8-by-8-by-2-inch pan.Combine cake flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate mixing bowl beat butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add lemon zest and then eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour in fourths, beating after each addition. Spread half of the batter into prepared pan; top with peaches. Spread rest of the batter on top.In a separate bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon and walnuts; sprinkle over the top. Bake 50 minutes.
