Peaches & Cream Dessert Dip

8 ounces cream cheese, softened (not reduced or non-fat varieties) 1/2 cup half-and-half (no substitutions) 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice2 pounds large ripe fresh peaches; washed and cut into large slicesIn a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Set aside.In a small bowl, whisk together half-and-half, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice until sugar dissolves.Pour half the spice mixture into cream cheese and beat on low speed 30 seconds until smooth and creamy. Add remaining mixture and beat on medium speed until completely incorporated and smooth. Scrape bowl well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.To serve: Warm dip by heating in microwave at 20 second intervals until slightly warmed and very creamy. Spoon into small bowl and serve at once on platter arranged with fresh peach slices.Baker's hint: For a darker hued dip, substitute dark brown sugar for the light variety.Nutrition values per serving: 209 calories, 16 g fat (10 g saturated), 15 g carbohydrates, 2 g fiber, 4 g protein, 49 mg cholesterol, 120 mg sodium.
