My Swedish Glögg

1 gallon red burgundy wine1 bottle (1.5 liters) port (not tawny port)1 bottle (750 ml) white or blush wine1 bottle (750 ml) brandy1 bottle (750 ml) vodka4 cinnamon sticks1 tablespoon whole cloves 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup almonds10 cardamom seedsInto large stockpot pour the burgundy, port, white or blush wine, brandy and vodka. Break cinnamon sticks in half and add to the pot. Stir in cloves, raisins and almonds. Pinch cardamom seeds firmly to release flavor and add. Cover and heat over low to just below boiling. Turn off heat and leave covered overnight.
