Hot Wings
1 cup all-purpose flour3 tablespoons garlic powder2 tablespoons dry mustard1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon dried basil, crumbled1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sweet paprika1 tablespoon salt2 teaspoons fresh-ground black pepper2 teaspoons dried oregano, crumbled2 teaspoons dried thyme, crumbled1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper36 skinless chicken drumettesPlace rack in upper third of oven. Heat oven to 450 degrees.In a medium mixing bowl whisk or stir flour, garlic powder, mustard, basil, paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme and cayenne until combined.Rinse drumettes under cold water and drain well. Dredge in seasoned flour, knock off excess and place on a nonstick broiler pan or on a nonstick wire rack with a sheet pan underneath.
