Asparagus Roll-ups
10 slices soft white bread
8 ounces garlic- and herb-flavored cream cheese (such as Rondole) 10 spears fresh asparagus 1 stick butter or margarine, melted 1 package Mrs. Culbertson's, fat-free herb croutons, crushedHeat oven to 350 degrees.Using a rolling pin flatten each slice of white bread and trim off crusts. Spread cream cheese on each slice.Snap tough ends off asparagus and place one spear on each piece of bread; roll up. Dip each roll into the melted butter and then into crushed croutons, coating evenly. Place roll-ups on cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, turning once to brown on all sides.Serves 10.Cook's note: Roll-ups may be frozen after cooking. To serve, thaw to room temperature and reheat at 350 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes. Nutrition values per serving: 314 calories, 23 g fat, 23 g carbohydrates, 2 g fiber, 6 g protein, 57 mg cholesterol, 353 mg sodium.
