Lavender Limeade

Lavender Limeade
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
2/3 cups sugar
5 cups water
1/4 cup fresh lavender flowers
Grated rind of 2 limes Additional lavender flowers and other edible flowers for garnishIn a saucepan bring two cups of the water, the sugar, the lavender and the lime peel to a boil. Let boil for five minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for another 10 minutes. In a tall glass pitcher pour the lime juice and remaining three cups water. Strain the boiled mixture into pitcher. Chill. When ready to serve garnish pitcher with fresh lavender and other edible flowers. Serves six to seven. Nutrition values per serving: 83 calories, 0 fat, 22 g carbohydrates, 0 fiber, 0 protein, 0 cholesterol, 0 sodium.
