Stuffed Mushrooms
1 1/2 pounds pork sausage 3 tablespoonscornstarch 1 egg 1 teaspoon salt1/4 cupchopped onion 3 to 4 dozen large mushrooms, washed andstemmed1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon (heaping) chickenbase 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon vegetableoilHeat oven to 325 degrees.Combine sausage, cornstarch, egg, saltand onion in bowl and mix well. Stuff mushrooms with sausage mixture andplace upside down in a 9 -by-13-inch baking pan.In a small bowl combine 1/2cup water and the chicken base, stirring until dissolved. Add the soy sauceand oil and pour over mushrooms. Bake 30 to 45 minutes.Serves 18 to 24(two mushrooms each)Nutrition values per serving: 127 calories, 10 gfat, 3 g carbohydrates, 1 g fiber, 7 g protein, 32 mg cholesterol, 552 mgsodium.
