Ham and Cheese Souffle
Ham and Cheese Souffle
3 tablespoons butter
6 slices white bread, crust removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
8 ounces diced ham
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups half & half
5 eggs
1 teaspoon black pepper
Grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
Melt butter and toss with cubed bread. Place in prepared pan. Spread ham and cheese over bread.
In a medium bowl, beat eggs; whip in half & half and seasonings. Pour over ham and bread mixture. Chill overnight.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
Serves six.
