Holiday Wreaths

Holiday Wreaths
1 bag (10 ounces) marshmallows
5 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon green food coloring
6 cups corn flakes
Red cinnamon candies
Nonstick spray, butter or margarine for greasing
Equipment
Waxed paper
Microwave-safe glass bowl
Wooden spoon
Measuring cups and spoons
Cookie sheets
1. Line two or three cookie sheets with waxed paper and grease lightly with butter, margarine or nonstick spray.
2. Put marshmallows and butter into large glass bowl. Cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Stir mixture vigorously with a wooden spoon and cook for 1 more minute. Stir again, until smooth. If marshmallows are not melted and completely smooth, cook for 1 more minute until melted.
3. Add food coloring and stir well.
4. Add cereal and mix gently until well coated.
5. Drop corn flakes mixture with 1/4 cup dry measure onto waxed paper. Using buttered fingers, quickly shape into 16 individual wreaths. Dot with red cinnamon candies and let set until cool. Put into refrigerator for a few minutes while cleaning up for faster setting.
