Join dog lovers and furry friends for 'Bark for Life' April 14

The first Bark For Life of Northern DuPage-Northwest Cook will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14, at Turner Park, Devon Avenue and Roselle Road in Roselle.

This event honors the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers. It gives our four-legged friends the opportunity to show their support in the fight against cancer while having a great time with their human companions.

All canine friends will join in a fun-filled day starting with a pooch walk, dog costume contest, and then continuing with vendors, demonstrations, giveaways and more. Proceeds from this event support the American Cancer Society's initiatives which includes cancer research, education, early detection programs, advocacy and local services and support programs for cancer patients and their caregivers.

Registration starts at 8 a.m. Register online at www.relayforlife.org/barknortherndupageil

Cost for online advance dog and owner registration is $25 or $30 at the event; limit two dogs per owner.

Dogs must be kept on a leash and must show proof of vaccination tag.

If you would like to participate as a vendor at Bark For Life or have any questions, contact Maryann Grygiel at (630) 893-6647 or mobysmom2k1@yahoo.com.
