U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam honors Dundee Lions at West Dundee village board meeting

In honor of the Dundee Township Lions 80th anniversary, U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam placed a proclamation in the Congressional Record acknowledging the club's outstanding service to the community. After reading this document at the West Dundee village board meeting, he presented a copy to club members.

Lions president Jim McClung indicated this has been a big year for the Lions. "Aside from our own anniversary Lions International is celebrating its 100th anniversary. In honor of this, our club planted a tree and placed a plaque in front of it in Lions Park in East Dundee."

Most recently the Lions are proud of being the chartering organization for Cub Pack 36 which has registered the first girl in its troop in the state of Illinois.

Lions are always looking for individuals to become a part of the largest service organization in the world. Call Jim McClung at (847) 567-7127 to come to a meeting and find out more about the services they provide for the community.
