Glenbard Parent Series event: Conquering the Challenges of College Costs

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present Conquering the Challenges of College Costs with Frank Palmasani at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Glenbard West High School.

Palmasani, author of "Right College, Right Price" and creator of the financial fit online program, will highlight steps families can take to save thousands of dollars in college costs and pay for college without excessive debt. This seminar will combine the latest information about scholarships, financial aid, student loans, and the college search process when financial issues are a factor.

Also, Ercilia Jonas of the Illinois Student Assistance Commission will present a financial aid workshop in Spanish from 10:30 a.m. to noon Sept. 23.

Learn about the new deadline dates and more at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23 at Glenbard West, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

All parents and students are encouraged to attend. Free continental breakfast and babysitting will be provided.
