Trinity Oktoberfest to offer German food, music and family fun

Celebrate Trinity Oktoberfest 2017 from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25; noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St. in Huntley.

The third annual event features German food, beer and music. Family Days from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday includes games, prizes, music, face painting and more. There will be a silent auction with many great items to bid on from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Ed Wagner Band will perform Friday evening. On Saturday, local talents will perform in the afternoon, followed by Doc Diamond at 4 p.m. and Die Musikmeisters in the evening. On Sunday, there will be a worship service at 10:30 a.m. Talisman will perform at 1 p.m.

Admission is $5 Friday and Saturday, and free on Sunday. Wristband for age 21 and older to purchase alcohol are $2. Family activities on Saturday are $5 per child or a family maximum of $10.
