Bethlehem Lutheran's rummage sale returns May 4-6

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in West Dundee will hold its annual rummage sale from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 5, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the church, Fourth and Main streets.

This fundraiser is more than just the run-of-the-mill rummage sale, it is a community event. This is one of the best rummage sales in the area. A lot of hard work is put into this sale so that everything will be laid out in an orderly fashion.

The neighborhood not only shops at this rummage sale but they look forward to to visiting with others who attend this event year after year for decades.

For this sale, there are three areas to shop. The first is the big room, the second is the upscale room and the third is the garage.

The big room has everything including books, toys, clothes, dishes, shoes, hats, handbags, and other things too numerous to mention.

The upscale room has jewelry, paintings, antiques, collectibles and specialty items.

In the garage you will find lounge chairs, desks, beds, sleds, fishing gear, tools and all that house and manly stuff.

On Saturday there will be the customary bag sale. Since this is one of the first rummage sales of the season, a big turnout is expected.

Donations for the rummage sale are appreciated, but no outdated or large electronics or TVs please.

Register to win prizes during the rummage sale related to the church's fun Chair Pilates class held twice a week to achieve overall wellness for women and men of any age.
