Join the first Crystal Lake Park District Ice Games featuring the Chili Open Golf Classic and the Crystal Lake Park District 4 x 4 Pond Hockey Tournament.

There will be food and beer available onsite from The Cottage. Other sponsors include: Dunkin Donuts, Buffalo Wild Wings, Crystal Ice House and Jersey Mikes.

The Ice Games for those age 18 and older will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at Main Beach, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake. The alternate weather and ice condition date is Saturday, Feb. 11. Registration deadline is Saturday, Jan. 21.

• The Chili Open Golf Classic is where golfers play a 9-hole, par 32 course on the frozen lake. All foursomes will receive a great gift and a chance to win prizes in the longest putt and "Greens in Regulation Raffle." Tee times are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. No glass bottles are allowed on the ice. Register for code 230402-01. Cost is $120 per foursome.

• The inaugural 4 x 4 Pond Hockey tournament will feature two rinks on Crystal Lake. The tournament will be a double elimination tournament. Exclusive tournament jerseys will be awarded to the two teams in the championship game. Fee includes: first place trophy for winning team, T-shirt for all participants, indoor, heated locker rooms and restrooms, heated indoor pavilion and great spectator seating from the beach. Register for code 230401-01. Cost is $195 per team.
