Annual fundraiser by local Primrose Schools raises $5,870

The Primrose School of South Elgin and the Primrose School of Algonquin held a Spring Fling Family Dance Night on April 22 at Dundee Middle School. The schools raised $5,870.

The event was a 1950s sock hop theme with DJ Jason providing great music and fun! There were raffles, a silent auction with donations from local community partners, games and a photo booth for children to take silly pictures with their friends.

"At Primrose, we're committed to teaching our students about helping others and giving without expectation," said Laura Daniel, franchise owner at Primrose School of South Elgin and Primrose School of Algonquin. "Our annual Spring Fling event is one way we do this. Not only are we able to give back to our wonderful community, but it also gives local families an opportunity to come together in a fun way."

The Little Angels Center for Exceptional Care will use the donated proceeds from the Spring Fling event to continue to impact the lives of children and young adults with severe disabilities and complex medical needs. Donations help pay for the basics as well as the special equipment and services the residents of Little Angels would not have without the support of donors.

Funding raised for the Primrose Children's Foundation will be used to support Save the Children, the world's top independent charity for children in need and national partner of Primrose Schools. The organization has robust and impactful programs in the United States, such as child sponsorship and emergency preparedness, that provide children living in poverty with the skills and resources they need to succeed in school and in life.
