I harvested caterpillars from my dill plants and kept them in Mason jars, feeding them and cleaning the jars daily. This is the first to emerge. His wings were still wet and he sat drying on a plant outside until he was dry. It's a black swallowtail. Usually only 1 out of 100 survive in nature.

I went to Kline Creek Farm to take photos of livestock. I came across a herd of roosters roaming the yard and grazing. I captured a portrait of this particular rooster, showing a rather grouchy facial expression. His wattle and comb both had bumpy textures.

This picture was taken while on vacation at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, MO. I was taking pictures with my mom and deciding what flower to take a picture of when I saw this flower with a brown dot in the middle. When I looked closer I saw that it was a daddy long leg spider. He was a good model for my photo.
