Glenbard to host Parents, Teens, Parties and the Law

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present Parents, Teens, Parties and the Law: Emerging Trends in the Teen Party Scene on Tuesday, April 14, at Glenbard East High School.

Join Glenbard for this compelling discussion of the realities of the tough teen topics. Learn about the social trends and alcohol and drug issues affecting youth today. Learn your responsibilities as a parent, how to negotiate the parent/teen relationship and tips to secure a positive future for your teen from an impressive panel of experts.

The program will begin at 7p.m., April 14, at Glenbard East, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard, and will feature a panel of experts.

Milton Creagh is a dynamic, nationally recognized speaker and media personality with a common sense message of down-to-earth ideas to aid in parenting and instilling strong values in teens.

The Honorable Judge Christopher Stride, Associate Circuit Judge 19th Judicial Court, presided over the landmark Deerfield case in which parents were held responsible for allowing alcohol at a teen party in their home with tragic consequences.

Detective (Ret.) Bruce Talbot is dedicated to sharing information on illegal street, synthetic designer, over-the-counter drugs and underage age alcohol use. Talbot was called as an expert witness before two U.S. Senate committees and is an author.

This frank presentation is open to the public and will provide parents with answers and advice to guide teens to a healthy life.
