Sign up for fifth annual dodgeball tournament

Sign up to play in the fifth annual dodgeball tournament, hosted by the Carpentersville Professional Fire Fighters International Association of Fire Fighters Local 4790.

The tournament will be Saturday, March 7, at Dundee-Crown High School, 1 Charger Country, Carpentersville. Check-in time will be at 11 a.m., followed by game time from noon to 5 p.m.

They are accepting applications for six-person teams, age 16 and older.

Cost is $25 per player or $150 per team. Early bird registration ends Saturday, Feb. 21. Starting Feb. 22, the fee is $30 per person or $180 per team.

Pay online at iafflocal4790.org or at the door. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Chicago Bliss, the Ladies Football League two-time champions, will be at the event, along with former Chicago Bear Roland Harper will from noon to 3 p.m. (weather permitting). Local radio hosts Joe Cicero and Tina Bree from Star 105.5 FM will attend.

There will be cash prizes for the top three teams. Other highlights include a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia and various raffles.
