Blue Whiskey Cinema Announces 2015 Spring Lineup
Interested in seeing some Hollywood favorites back on the big screen? Join the Blue Whiskey Cinema series for a different classic every first Wednesday of the month this spring at the Star Cinema Grill in Arlington Heights.
The series kicks off the 2015 season of screenings on Wednesday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m. with "Sleepless in Seattle." The 1993 academy award nominated romantic comedy was directed by Nora Ephron, and stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
After the death of his wife, Sam Baldwin (Hanks) moves to Seattle with his son, Jonah (Ross Malinger). When Jonah calls in to a talk-radio program to find a new wife for his father, Sam grudgingly gets on the line to discuss his feelings. Annie Reed (Ryan), a reporter in Baltimore, hears Sam speak and falls for him, even though she is engaged. Unsure where it will lead, she writes Sam a letter asking him to meet her at the Empire State Building on Valentine's Day.
This spring's lineup includes: "Rear Window" (March 4), "Galaxy Quest" (April 1), "The Fugitive" (May 6) and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (June 3). The films selected to be screened are decided by attendees. Suggestion cards are collected from guests following each event. Beginning February 4, suggestions for the fall lineup will be open.
Tickets for each event are only $6.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door. To purchase in advance, visit BlueWhiskeyCinema.com. The Star Cinema Grill is a dine-in movie theater, so be sure to enjoy a delicious meal and a wide variety of beverage options during the film (food and drinks sold separately).
