WIBAF Enjoys Holiday Luncheon and Meeting

On December 9, the Women In Business Advisory Forum (WIBAF), a networking group of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce, held their annual holiday meeting and luncheon at Tap House Grill in Palatine.

At the December meeting, Scott Ward, Mark Zych, and Karen Schutz from Tap House provided hospitality and shared their history. Also in attendance were Rick Burd, Tony Calzaretta and Peggy Lyons who entertained the group with a few numbers from Music on Stage's upcoming performances of White Christmas at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center. An annual highlight of the December meeting is the holiday group photo. Many thanks to Cary Cohen of Silk Thread Media LLC for providing his photography services to the group.

About WIBAF

WIBAF is an active group of business women who are interested in learning and networking with one another while discussing business related topics. Meetings are held once a month, on the second Tuesday of each month from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Meetings are divided between organized presentations including business topics and member features, along with time for networking with other members in attendance.

Monthly Registration

The luncheon fee is $12 per month. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online each month at www.palatinechamber.com. Registration is requested no later than the Friday morning prior to each meeting. Registration after noon on the Friday before the meeting will be $15 per person. For questions about Chamber Membership or WIBAF registration, please contact: Cheryl Gosiewski at 847-359-7200 or membership@palatinechamber.com

Participation

Those interested in joining the group can attend their first meeting as a guest, even if they are not a member of the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce. After the first meeting, Chamber membership is required. All attendees are given 30-60 seconds to provide their "elevator pitch" during the introduction portion of each meeting. If you are interested in hosting a luncheon, featuring your company for a longer 10-15 minute presentation, or offering a 20-30 minute business topic for the group, please contact one of the WIBAF co-chairs:
