Lake County Culver's Restaurants Host Patriots Day Fundraiser

As part of a continued effort to support our veterans, several Lake County Culver's restaurants will hold a 'Day of Giving' Thursday, September 11 for the Lake County Veterans and Family Services Foundation (LCVFSF). The non-profit organization, which helps care for area veterans and their families, will receive a percentage of the entire day's sales.

With resources throughout Lake County, LCVFSF can offer services from peer counseling to legal advice. The organization, which employs peer veterans, builds trust with those in need and acts as a guide directly to the appropriate resources.

With 38,700 vets, Lake County has the third largest population of veteran residence. Culver's goal, with a Patriots Day fundraiser, is to bring awareness to LCVFSF as well as those who have defended our country. In addition to a donation, any veteran who visits Culver's on September 11 will receive a free one-scoop sundae as a thank you for their service.

"This is our opportunity to give back to an organization and a group of people who do selfless work each and every day," says Culver's of Libertyville owner Chris Searles.
