Montini Catholic Celebrates It's 25th Annual Bronco Classic Golf Outing

Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, hosted its 25th Annual Bronco Classic Golf Outing on Friday, August 8, 2014. Every year, current families, friends and alumni are invited to the daylong event which is sponsored by Montini's Alumni Association.

This year, two-hundred and fifty (250) golfers enjoyed a gorgeous, sunny day at St. Andrew's Golf and Country Club, in West Chicago which started at 9 a.m. with registration, breakfast, goodies, and conversation with friends and former classmates. Their eighteen holes of golf began at the 11 a.m. shotgun start, followed by a dinner, silent auction, and raffles.

Every year, Montini Catholic High School awards the foursomes with the best scores, for both the men and women, by engraving their names on a trophy. This year, the Mens' 2014 Foursome Champions were: Chuck Kirk '78, Joe Capparelli '80, John Riggs '80 and Joe Endres

There was a tie in the Womens' Category. The winning teams were: (1): Marianne Vivirito, Judy Lucas '79, Camille Gianatasio and Margie Ploense '79; and (2): Patty Mullins, Linda Mullins, Michelle Quinlan and Betty Dignan

Alums, families and friends always enjoy a day of playful rivalry at Montini's much anticipated event. Whether one is a golfer shooting for that "hole-in-one" every time, or just figuring out what 'the green' is, the Bronco Classic Golf Outing is always a great time for everyone.

"We are always very thankful to our supporters and volunteers who come out and enjoy this wonderful day with us," said Montini President Jim Segredo. "Their loyalty to our school and dedication to its success are exceptional."
