Though she earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering in her native Bolivia, Cecilia Marchant knew landing a good job in the U.S. would likely require another higher education credential. Less than two years after she moved to Des Plaines, Marchant is on the verge of graduating from Harper College not only with multiple credentials, but a fulltime position at a leading global logistics firm. Marchant relied in part on Harper's accelerated Fast Track adult program to finish her goal.

Similar success stories are sure to begin with a free informational meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in Room 122 of the Harper Professional Center, 650 E. Higgins Road, Schaumburg. An overview of Harper's degrees and certificates will show prospective adult students that it's possible to gain skills, earn credentials and succeed in today's competitive employment market while leading an already busy life.
