Just in time for Mother's Day, Harper College ceramics students and instructors will showcase hundreds of original, one-of-a-kind clay pieces at the semiannual Harper Clay Guild sale.

Original items will range from functional bowls, plates and mugs to garden sculptures and jewelry. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, in the main concourse of the Avanté Center on the College's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine. It is open to the public. Cash and personal checks will be accepted as payment.

Harper regularly offers two-credit courses and three Continuing Education classes in ceramics. The programs draw a variety of students of all ages from art majors to community members looking to explore and expand their creativity.
