D211 needs junior ROTC program, too

Excellent article in the Herald about District 214 and the Naval Junior ROTC students doing research on Lake Michigan. The JROTC program does not require someone to go into the military after high school, but it is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and develop an understanding about our country.

I have tried to get some interest in District 211, to no avail. I ran twice for the school board talking about an ROTC program. The D211 school aboard appears to be ambivalent. The radical left said I was trying to “militarize” the schools. No, I am actually trying to save our schools, we need future leaders.
