Koulos' was a three-run shot in the sixth, and Waubonsie broke it open with a sixth-run seventh. Winning pitcher Shannon Hohman (12-3) struck out five. Isabell Alexander homered on the first pitch of the bottom of the first inning, Shaylee Lewis added a go-ahead three-run blast later in the inning and Alyssa Sclafani hit her sixth of the year in the sixth for the Broncos (15-3, 9-0 Suburban Christian Conference Blue), who won their ninth straight game. Winning pitcher Lauren Trojnar (9-2) struck out eight. Alexander, hitting .651 on the year, was 4-for-4 for the day.

Kelsey Dominguez was 2-for-5 with 3 RBI, Jamie O'Brien 3-for-5 and Sydney Foran doubled and drove in 2 runs for the visiting Wildcats (9-6, 6-2 Upstate Eight). Alyssa Coletto and Kara Leckinger homered and Alise Perna was 3-for-4 with a double for Metea (4-10, 4-5).
Glenbard North 1, Wheaton North 0:
Cece Dopart (3-0) threw a shutout and Ashley Stiver and Sarah Petzold each went 2-for-3, Stiver driving in the game's lone run for the No. 4 Panthers (10-2, 3-1 DuPage Valley Conference).
