District 211 gets Bright Red Apple award

In recognition for academic excellence, Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 recently received the SchoolSearch 2013 Bright Red Apple award.

District 211 was one of 78 school districts out of 866 districts in the state to receive the award. Only 25 of the 78 Illinois school districts serve high school students.

Judging is based on five key factors, including academic performance, pupil/teacher ratio, expenditure per pupil, educational level of teachers, and average teacher salary. SchoolSearch is a consulting firm that publishes rankings of school systems.

The primary concern for the company is to provide information about school districts for families interested in relocating. All school districts in Illinois are considered, and the award criteria are based on objective factors to ensure fair judging. This recognition is not new to District 211, as the district earned the award in 2008.
