Palatine Women's Club receives Kevin T. Kendrigan Spirit Award for Volunteerism

The Special Leisure's Services Foundation awarded the Palatine Women's Club, the Kevin T. Kendrigan Spirit Award for 2012 to celebrate the achievements of the Northwest Special Recreation Association(NWSRA)participants. This celebration is a thank you to their volunteers and supporters of the SLSF who have made many outstanding opportunities possible throughout the year. The award night in December was held at the Meridian Banquets and Conference Center in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Accepting for the Palatine Women's Club were long time members Linda Millard and Marlene Bellamy.

Kevin T. Kendrigan was the founding director of the Northwest Special Recreation Association and worked tirelessly to provide recreational opportunities for the disabled in Illinois.
