Argonauts Youth Football and Cheer

Argonauts Football and Cheer is inviting you to join us this coming Saturday February 23rd at the Rakow Center (Dundee Park district) from 11am-2pm for our first walk in registration. The Rakow Center is located at 665 Barrington Ave in Carpentersville (corner of Rt 25 and 68) and our table will be set up in the main lobby. In order to maintain the highest level of coaching we can provide to our student/athletes we will close registration at a level of play once the desired number of participants has been reached. Visit our website www.algonquinargonauts.com for a detailed look at our levels and number of participants we will register during the 2013 season. With our cheerleaders still buzzing from their success last year, which included an appearance at the National Championship Competition in Florida, it is safe to say that those teams will fill up fast!! Our consistent success in our football program due to our loyal following by our players and experienced, well-educated coaching staff make our teams very desirable as well.

Argonauts Football has no boundaries when it comes to serving our community. Because we are the ONLY Pop Warner program in the area, we can register kids from Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Dundee, Carpentersville, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts, Huntley and Crystal Lake. With our convenient and centralized practice location of Westfield Elementary on Sleepy Hollow Rd we are within minutes of many of the schools in our community. Those parents with multiple kids in the program will be able to come to ONE field and watch all of their kids practice without the worry of juggling schedules because of multiple practice facilities some other programs offer.

Our Board of Directors has been very busy developing an easy payment plan that will benefit all of our participants who wish to take advantage of it. So far our online registration (algonquinargonauts.com) has been very active and it's great to see that over 80 percent of those registered have opted to use our payment plan to ensure that they not only reserve a spot in our program but also ensure that our football players get the best opportunity to retain the previous year jersey number.

With the Argonauts being part of Pop Warner, which is the largest National Youth Football and Cheer program in the country, we have the opportunity to travel and compete with our teams, both football and cheer. If you are looking for a high level of competition look no further. In 2011 the Argo's had two football teams win State Championships. Our Pee Wees traveled to Michigan City, IN where they faced a tough Gary Steelers team and lost a close game. Our Junior Pee Wees took a short drive to Kansas City, MO and defeated the Kearny Bulldogs earning them the right to play for the Midwest Regional Championship. In a game played on November 27, 2011 the Argos defeated the Falcons of South Lathrop Michigan 18-0 and were crowned 2011 Midwest Regional Champs. Our Cheerleaders supported us all the way and with two state championships of their own along with a National appearance in Florida in 2012 they are not looking to take a backseat to any of our boys!!

Visit our website www.algonquinargonauts.com for more information on the numerous advantages of being an Argo or contact us at argostaff@algonquinargonauts.com if you have further questions

We look forward to seeing our returning players/cheerleaders as well as the friendly new faces we hope to meet soon.

Lets Go Argo's!!!
