A public information open house meeting on the drinking water supply for the Fox Lake Hills water system is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Thompson Elementary School, 515 Thompson Lane, Lake Villa. Residents can attend any time during the open house, which will provide information on the current drinking water supply system and Lake County's efforts to secure a permanent, long-term solution to drinking water needs. Lake County public works staff and groundwater specialists will be available at a series of stations to provide information on the project and to answer questions. Fox Lake Hills, Orchard Gardens, Amber Shores and Columbia Bay Estates are subdivisions included in the county-run water system. Visit www.lakecountyil.gov/lakemichiganwater.
