D211 students honored by sheriff

Seven Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 students were recently awarded the Cook County Sheriff's Youth Service Medal of Honor Award from Sheriff Tom Dart. To be eligible for the award, students had to be a resident of Cook County, be in grades 9 through 12 and contribute at least 100 hours of volunteer service to their communities between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2012. District 211 recipients included Hoffman Estates High School seniors Isha Jog and Kayle Majeske and junior Thomas Simac; Conant High School senior David Lin and junior Kodey Visitacion; Fremd High School senior Elizabeth Tokarz; and Schaumburg High School senior Su Hwang.
