Palatine Children's Chorus to Perform "Carols By Candlelight"

Palatine Children’s Chorus is comprised of 130 singers in five choruses performing under the direction of Ms. Rachel Rosellini. The group will be presenting two separate performances of Carols By Candlelight this week at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine.

On December 5, the Do Re Mi and Treble Choirs will perform a variety of holiday favorites at 7:00pm. From classics like “Silent Night” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain” to the spiritual “Behold a Star” and the Ethiopian Christmas Song “Issay, Issay,” the variety of music is sure to please all tastes. These talented young choirs will be joined by special guest performers from the PCC Honors Choir. Tickets are $6 per person.

The December 8 performance will be presented by the Treble, Intermezzo, Concert and Honors choirs at 3:00pm. The extensive program includes carols from Austria, the Ukraine, Germany, and France along with a Hebrew folk song, the sounds of calypso, and much more. The principal accompanist will be Michelle Nunez. Also performing will be Guest Harpist, Gaye Seeman, and Guest Guitarist, Steve Vazquez. Tickets for the December 8 show are $8 for adults and $6 for children and seniors.

PCC will be hosting Winter Welcome Nights on January 7 and January 9 from 4:30pm to 9:00pm. Children who love to sing are invited to make a 15 minute appointment to learn more about the program. Appointments can be made by emailing pccsings@gmail.com or calling 847-705-5123, x281.
