CCU hosts free seminar “Financially Fit Credit Cards”

Waukegan, IL, October 23, 2012: Credit is essential for almost everything we do, from buying a car to purchasing a home and a whole lot in between – including proper use of credit cards. While maintaining a strong credit profile is an essential part of our lives, it's not a very simple task. That's why Consumers Credit Union (CCU, $585 million, Waukegan, IL) has invited the public and its Members to a FREE seminar, “Financially Fit Credit Cards” on Wednesday, November 14th, at the Holiday Inn – Gurnee, IL.

Those attending “Financially Fit Credit Cards” will learn helpful tips about selecting the best credit card for you. You'll learn how to find the best card based on how you use your credit card, how to find the right line of credit to meet your personal needs, how to understand the complicated language in disclosure statements – even how to use credit cards to improve your credit rating. This educational seminar is open to CCU Members and the public at no charge.

“Sustaining a healthy credit rating can be extremely hard work,” noted Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President. “It's a daunting task even in the best of times, and with the economy the way it is, it's a battle that's very difficult to win.
