Lawson’s integrity, record good for 56th

Irrespective of your party affiliations, we as citizens are deeply concerned about the inaccuracy of information being disseminated as the November election nears. A recent mailer by the opposing party of John Lawson (candidate for state representative, 56th district) states that Mr. Lawson “may” collect three full-time taxpayer funded salaries, and it “would be” a sweet deal.

This amounts to irresponsible speculation by the opposing party or plain smear tactics at best. John Lawson has been very clear in recent public forums and local newspapers that he will cease his position with Roselle police and will not seek re-election as Schaumburg Township Assessor.

In addition, he will give back all township assessor pension contributions and will not take a legislative pension should he be elected in November.

John Lawson has consistently demonstrated a high degree of integrity in 25 years of police work, youth coaching, and a well-respected record as township assessor. He would like to bring his record and a solid recovery plan to an ailing Springfield, and that is accurate!
