Lombard board names two trustees to serve as acting village president

LOMBARD, Illinois—At a Special Board of Trustees meeting held on October 2, Trustees adopted a resolution to name both Trustee Peter Breen and Trustee Bill Ware to share the position of Lombard's Acting Village President. The position was left vacant from the recent passing of William J. Mueller.

Breen is assuming duties of Acting Village President immediately and through January 16, 2013. Ware will assume the duties of Acting Village President on January 17, 2013 through the swearing in of the new Village President, to be elected at the April 2013 election.

Breen and Ware have indicated each would resume their duties as Village Trustee once their term as Acting Village President has been completed.

The decision to share the post was approved unanimously in a vote by the Trustees. Breen will preside over the next Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday.
