Boys soccer/Fox Valley roundup

Mario Rodriguez had a hat trick and Christian Vences added a goal and 4 assists Monday as Streamwood’s boys soccer team rolled to an 8-1 win over Marian Central at the Maine West tournament.

Edwin Rueda, Marcus Rafo and Ismel Dinz each added a goal for the Sabres (2-2) while Phil Lewy and Bryan Contreres split time in goal, each making 2 saves.

St. Charles North 1, CL South 0: Logan Dunne scored a second-half goal to lift the North Stars over Crystal Lake South at the Barrington tournament. Steven Follmer had 5 saves in goal for the Gators (1-2) and Gus Alvarez added 2.

Elgin 7, St. Patrick 1: Tony Escamilla had 3 goals and Josue Chavez, Hernan Estrada, Oscar Rodriguez and Eddy Perez added one each as the Maroons (2-1) won easily at the St. Patrick tournament.
