Enjoy music, fireworks at annual Lakeside Festival

The community is welcome at the 33rd annual Lakeside Festival, voted '11 and '12 Best Festival in McHenry County by Shaw Suburban Media, held on the grounds of the historic Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake.

On June 28 through July 1, come for the carnival rides, great food, beverage tent and live music.

Great local vendors include: Kaledioscoops, Shucks, Culver's, Joseph's, Jersey Mike's, Fire Bar, and Jamba Juice. Be sure not to miss out on the “Fest Favorites,” like elephant ears, funnel cakes, roasted corn and fresh squeezed lemonade! The beverage tent drink ticket proceeds go to Lakeside's mission, so please enjoy the Mai Tai's, Margaritas, and a fan favorite, Lakeside Lemonade, in memorabilia mugs sponsored by Icon Building Group.

Festival performances by great local Chicago acts include High Infidelity, Modern Day Romeos, and Libido Funk Circus. Safari Childcare is also offering free face painting and games daily at the Festival.

Admission to the Midway Carnival is free of charge, with a $5 gate entrance donation to Lakeside Legacy Foundation to the taste by the lake food and beverage tents and music stages.

Kids 12 and under, along with active military members, enter free of charge while seniors 65 and older can enter for a $2 entrance donation.

Parking is available on Country Club, Ringling Road, and Golf Road.

On Thursday and Friday, gates open at 4 pm and close at 11 p.m. Saturday, come a little bit early with the family at noon and enjoy the music and food until 11 p.m.

Sunday opens at noon as well but closes at 10 p.m., with fireworks at dusk.

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, bring a team of friends and your competitive spirit to participate in the annual Baggo Tournament. Baggo pre-registration is available at the festival website for a donation of $40. Registration on the day of the tournament is a donation of $50. The Baggo Tournament includes cash prizes, double elimination and only 96 teams, so register now at our website!

Community volunteers power Lakeside Fest so sign up to give back to your community by becoming a volunteer at the festival. Volunteers will receive free admission.

The four fun-filled days of Lakeside Fest continue well beyond the Independence Day celebration. The proceeds benefit Lakeside Legacy Arts Park and the continuation of a mission to foster an innovative, world-class arts education destination.

The festival proceeds ensure the preservation and protection of the 12-acre Lakeside Legacy Arts Park and Historic Dole Mansion. This fun filled festival has a purpose, and that is to raise the funds of the foundation to continue fulfilling our mission and vision.

The generous presenting sponsor, Sage Products Inc, makes Lakeside Festival possible in conjunction with countless other community partners. Lakeside is also celebrating its 10-year anniversary, so thank you to the community for all the support.

Attendance at fest helps ensure that the next 10 years will continue to aid and foster the mission and vision. Lakeside Legacy has also launched a new festival website sponsored by Myriadcs at www.lakeside.myriadcs.net.
