O’Connor leads Lakes past Vernon Hills

Lakes d. Vernon Hills: At White Deer Run, John O’Connor fired a 37 and was the only golfer to break 40, as the Eagles (162) edged the host Cougars (166) to wrap up the North Suburban Prairie Division title.

Lakes (4-0 NSC Prairie) also counted the scores of Cody Franke (40), Matt Hirsch (41) and Ryan Reitmayer (44).

Vernon Hills was led by Jake Zoll’s 40. Eric Swanson, Chris Edwards and Connor Dickman each had a 42.

Grayslake Central d. Grayslake North: At Renwood Golf Course, the victorious Rams (149) got four scores in the 30s and beat the Knights (178) in Fox Valley Fox Division action.

Grayslake Central junior Tanner Hermes was medalist with a 1-under 35. The Rams also received a 37 from Colton Brunk, a 38 from Dan Choi and a 39 from Cody Stover.

Grayslake North was led by Andres Avila’s 42.

Lake Forest wins Highland Park quad: At Northmoor Country Club, Nick Steffens fired an even-par 36, was medalist and led the Scouts (150) to wins over New Trier (158), Loyola (161) and Highland Park (165).
