Foreclosure seminar Oct. 5 in Hoffman Estates

To assist local families who are struggling with mortgage payments, and possible foreclosure, state Rep. Fred Crespo, a Hoffman Estates Democrat, has arranged a foreclosure seminar featuring people from the Illinois attorney general’s office, Bank of America and Chase Bank 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Schaumburg Township Administration building, 1 Illinois Blvd., Hoffman Estates. The free event allows local residents who are struggling to pay their mortgages, seeking loan modifications or need clarification on legal statements relating to their mortgage, to speak with representatives from Bank of America, Chase Bank and the attorney general’s office. They will give brief presentations and answer questions. “The purpose of this seminar is to inform people of options available to them when facing mortgage foreclosures and what they should do if they fall behind in their mortgage payments,” Crespo said in a news release.
