Higgins will be good for business, jobs

As a small-business owner in Schaumburg, I understand that policies coming out of Springfield can help to make or break our state's economy.

That is why in this election cycle, we have the opportunity to make Illinois a destination for companies looking to start their businesses or to expand their work force. Luckily, there is candidate in the 56th District who will do just that his name is Ryan Higgins.

Ryan, as you may know, has been a resident of the Northwest suburbs for the last 28 years, so he has a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of our communities.

As a health care attorney, he has impressed me with his understanding of how we can correct fraud and abuse in the Medicaid system that could save Illinois up to $1 billion annually.

In addition, Ryan has a plan to extend and expand employment opportunities in Illinois by expanding tax incentives for companies that hire new workers and invest in research and development.

Higgins will also fight Gov. Quinn's proposed 67 percent income tax increase, which will cause families and employers alike to leave Illinois for states like Wisconsin, Indiana and Missouri.

Ryan's leadership on economic issues in our district has earned him the endorsement of business organizations that want to put people to work, like the National Federation of Independent Business and the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

Now, more than ever, we need a smart, thoughtful representative like Ryan Higgins who will represent our district with distinction. That is why I ask you to join me in supporting Ryan Higgins for state representative on Nov. 2.
