Legislature belongs to Illinois citizens

I strongly object to the wording in Kerry Lester's article in Thursday's edition about Steve Rauschenberger. Lester refers to Rauschenberger's bid to, "reclaim his old Senate seat."

That seat has never belonged to Steve Rauschenberger, and it presumptuous to state that it does.

That seat, along with all the others in Springfield, belongs to the people of Illinois. Mr. Rauschenberger merely sat in it for 14 years before looking for another one.
