Just in the Nick of Time Market returns Dec. 9

Noon Whistle Brewing and the Streetz Artz Alliance will be hosting the Just in the Nick of Time Market on Saturday, Dec. 9. It will take place indoors from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Noon Whistle Brewing Tasting Room, 1748 W. Jefferson Ave. in Naperville.

The market features more than 50 carefully curated artists, hand-makers, vintage vendors, and one tarot reader. "Carefully curated" ensures a diverse selection, minimizing overlap, and guaranteeing a unique experience at Streetz Artz Alliance events.

All ages are welcome, and admission is free. The spacious parking lot ensures ample free parking. Please note that only service animals are allowed in the brewery.

John Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance and lead organizer, shared, "About 29 of the over 50 artists planned for this curated market are brand new to the venue. If you shopped with us last year or at the Mother's Day Market we did here in 2023, you are in for a brand new and fresh mix of the best artists and makers from the area!"

Streetz Artz Alliance prioritizes local artists, with three from Naperville in the event: ArtZHouse, Sunbeam Air Plants, and Decor Candles. Others hail from nearby suburbs, creating a diverse showcase from Justice to Waukegan and North Aurora to St. Charles.

Discover a wide range of items at this artisan event, including original artwork, pet treats, air plants, beer candles, holiday decor, towels, sticker books, plushies, crocheted items, cigar box guitars, wood burning, wood turning, handcrafted jewelry, holiday spiders, unique apparel, tie-dyed accessories, cookies, pickles, sensory boxes, and live caricature art by Fine-Tooned Caricature.

Returning artists are restocking popular items and introducing new creations.

Dust Bunny Mafia, for example, announced, "I've just restocked the top-selling Dust Bunny Mafia merchandise from 2023, including four new sticker designs, "Based on a True Story Vol. 1," "Meet the Family," and "Detective Potatoes: Case of the Coffee Apocalypse!"

For those craving a culinary adventure at the market, Burn'n Bull is set to tantalize taste buds with their delectable food pop-up. Anticipate a menu featuring pulled pork sandwiches, tinga tacos, jambalaya, chili, buffalo chips, and cheeseburger egg rolls. Based on past events, they stay until they sell out. Therefore, it's highly recommended to place your order early to savor the mouthwatering offerings from this gastronomic delight.

Derelict Books and Black Summer Press will be on-site on Saturday, actively promoting and selling their books and publications. Michael J. Adams, the owner of Derelict Books, specializes in writing about fairies, vampires, and murderous muses. He boasts two popular brands: Osseous and Plagiarism.

"Since last December, I've released not one, not two, but three new novels," shared Derelict Books. They plan to have paperbacks available for signing this Saturday.

Additionally, Jessie Rose, representing Black Summer Press, will be selling their "Atomic Love" book and ornaments made from book pages.

Several artists are supporting local charities with portions of their sales. Charities range from Dark Horse Dogs (NFP), Delta Gamma Sorority, Operation Underground Rescue, Toys for Tots, and Smile Train to Paws, The Gull Terrier Rescue Mission, and Clearbrook. Some of the artists donating include Jeannine's Jems, DK Custom Woodworking, Derelict Books, Jamming 4 Bullies, Laura's Mick-Nacks, Lunar Pines, Special K's BeerCandles, LocoPottery and Treats by William.

John Bergin, owner of Thirdhand Inc., and a record collector in the show, said, "Excited for Thirdhand Inc. to be a part of this event! We'll have plenty of bargain Christmas records for sale and hopefully some newly acquired used stock. We're pursuing hot buying leads next week so stay tuned!"

The brewery's recent announcement includes the release of their OG Mixed Gummy Variety Pack on Dec. 5, available at both the Naperville Tasting Room and Lombard Brewpub. The variety pack will include Gummy Vortex, Don't Worry Be Gummy, Squishy Gummy, and Gummypocalypse.
