Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Opening of Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters' New Facility in Crystal Lake

The Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, along with the Crystal Lake Area and the Barrington Area chambers of commerce, co-hosted a ribbon cutting and open house for Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters' new warehouse, training facility, and roastery located at 110 W. Woodstock St., Unit 2R, in Crystal Lake.

This event marks a significant milestone in the growth and expansion of Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters, a coffee institution in the Chicago area.

Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters, founded in 2006 by managing partner Michael Shipley and his parents, Jack and Roseanna Shipley, began with the café in Crystal Lake. Over the years, they have become an integral part of the community, with cafe locations in Cary, Crystal Lake, Barrington, Libertyville, and Palatine. Conscious Cup has become synonymous with exceptional coffee and a commitment to social and environmental sustainability.

The new 5,700-square-foot headquarters in Crystal Lake represents a major step forward for Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters. The facility is the home of their new state-of-the-art coffee roaster, doubling the company's roasting capacity. The facility also boasts a training and cupping room and supports the production of Conscious Cup's popular kegged Toddy cold brews, nitro flash-chilled coffee products, house-made syrups, and chai blends, all of which are distributed to the company's retail cafes and wholesale partners.

Michael Shipley, Managing Partner of Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters, expressed his excitement about the new facility, saying, "This relocation has provided a much-needed upgrade over our previous roasting space. It allows us to continue our commitment to providing top-tier coffee to our community and partners."

Conscious Cup Coffee Roasters is not only dedicated to crafting exceptional coffee but also to supporting local artists. Their cafes feature the work of talented artists from the community, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for coffee enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
