Righteous Kitchen celebrates one year after expansion into Grab-&-Go Store
Since 2014, Righteous Kitchen, a local family-owned catering and ready-made meal company in Chicago's western suburb of Lombard, has specialized in serving fresh, all-natural, scratch-made meal prep in volume.
Since moving to their new location last October, Righteous Kitchen has served over 250,000 meals from their grab-&-go retail store, as well as catered meals to schools, offices, day cares, homes, and events.
After expansion into a new commissary kitchen and retail store in October 2022, its business has grown exponentially and they expect the same growth as they head in year two of the Grab-&-Go store .
To celebrate one year in their new kitchen and retail store, Righteous Kitchen is throwing a party on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
There will be food sampling, menu previews, live music, raffles, good times, and, of course, meals will be available for sale.
Righteous Kitchen continues to grow its catering and retail Grab-&-Go Market business as a rooted and invested member of the Lombard community.
The Grab-&-Go Market is located in the front space of its large commissary kitchen at 390 E. St. Charles Road in Lombard.
Customers can walk in to purchase convenient ready-made lunches, dinners, and breakfast to go, or they can place an online pre-order at righteouskitch.com and pick-up at their convenience.
Everything is fresh, chef-made from scratch, and fully cooked - just heat and eat!
Righteous Kitchen puts a unique spin on comfort classics and among the most popular items are scratch-made soups by the quart, gourmet salads, wraps, jambalaya, Guinness meatloaf, chicken pot pie, kids meals, school/work lunch options, and more. The store also features sweets and fresh baked goods, like the customer favorite: chocolate pudding, and the popular OMG! Oatmeal Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie, seasonal pies and cookies, muffins as well as supporting other local businesses by offering honey, coffee, and other home and food related items.
Righteous Kitchen is consistently adding more gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. It caters events, parties, office luncheons and frequently caters neighborhood gatherings with the Lombard Historical Society, Helen Plum Library, and other community groups. Online reviews continue to be enthusiastically positive for RK, which is also great for Lombard as this enthusiasm extends to the development of the downtown shopping/business district.
The Grab-&-Go Market greets new faces each day as well as "regulars" who are known by name and considered friends. Righteous Kitchen is truly a one-of-a-kind neighborhood business that provides exceptional food and service.
RK Grab-&-Go is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Conveniently located near the Lombard Metra station, they are the perfect solution for busy weeknights, a quick lunch, or a meal to grab after work. Order ahead and they'll have it all bagged up and waiting for you.
Righteous Kitchen is truly a business committed to community. The owners live locally in Lombard as do the majority of RK employees. Righteous Kitchen consistently supports local PTAs and private fundraising events, has led build teams for local Habitat for Humanity projects, supports PADS and The Outreach House through donations and fundraisers, and during the pandemic delivered approximately 6,000 free meals to healthcare workers throughout Chicagoland with the RK Feed the Frontline campaign.

It's no surprise that convenience meals produce a lot of packaging and waste. To help offset some of that, Righteous Kitchen has made the move to much more sustainable packaging for Grab-&-Go and pre-order meals! RK's pulp trays and bowls are not only oven and microwave safe, but they are 100% compostable and made from renewable materials! The majority of RK containers are now compostable and what isn't compostable, is recyclable.
