Pro golfer Peter Jacobsen to attend Turning Pointe Autism Foundation's annual golf outing

Meet professional golfer Peter Jacobsen and get some tips during Turning Pointe Autism Foundation's annual golf outing on Monday, July 10, at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook.

This is one of the largest fundraising events for Turning Pointe.

Jacobsen, a professional golfer and commentator for The Golf Channel and NBC, has won seven times on the PGA Tour and added two majors on the PGA Tour Champions.

"We're incredibly excited and grateful to have Peter attend and support our annual golf outing this year," said Howard Weiss, board president for Turning Pointe. "To have an athlete of his caliber at our event is amazing, and we're enthusiastic to see the value he brings to attendees as he shares his knowledge."

Outing attendees will see Jacobsen present golf tips prior to lunch, in addition to presenting during the luncheon and being available for meet and greet opportunities on the course throughout the day.

"For a golfer, there are few courses in the Chicago area that rival Butterfield Country Club," remarked Rick Biagi, golf committee member for the foundation. "The facilities and grounds are breathtaking and the golf experience is second to none. In addition, the entire day is meticulously executed. There really isn't a better charity golf event that I've seen nor a more worthy organization to support."

"Turning Pointe has been a beacon of hope to families of children and young adults with autism. The countless success stories of children that now lead lives of independence, fulfillment and deep, meaningful connection with others is truly inspiring," Biagi said. "I'm proud to help ensure that Turning Pointe continues enriching the lives of children and families with Autism now and into the future."
