No One Fights Alone Fundraiser for Lt. Ken Sterling May 21

Schaumburg Professional Firefighter's Association is hosting a benefit, No One Fights Alone this Sunday May 21 at Durty Nelly's in Palatine.

Ken Sterling, 43, was a high school Spanish teacher and baseball coach at Lake Park High School prior to joining the Schaumburg Fire Department 17 years ago. This summer he and his wife, Kristi, will be celebrating their 17th anniversary and they have three children ages 7, 9, and 11. Ken was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 15 and 10 months ago received the news that he now has the more aggressive Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. All conventional treatments have failed and now Ken is doing clinical trials with the ultimate goal being a stem cell transplant.

IAFF Local 4092 is raising funds to help support our Brother, Lieutenant Ken Sterling, as he courageously battles this serious form of cancer. Ken is adored by not only his loving wife and family, but all of his brothers and sisters with the Schaumburg Professional Firefighter's Association. He continues to be a face of inspiration through his strength and endurance. Join us as we pledge to stand by an support Ken, in any way we can!
