'Wake Up, Brother Bear!' entertains children 5 and under at Northbrook Theatre

April showers bring May flowers, and the weather around Northbrook lately has kept many couped up indoors.

Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences (NTYA), a professional theater company, is offering an entertaining production for the parents and caregivers at home trying to keep kids busy during these rainy Spring months.

"Wake Up, Brother Bear!" is a unique, intimate production best enjoyed by children ages 5 and younger. Watch Brother Bear and Sister Bear experience a full year of glorious seasons complete with butterflies, fish, and bees! And who better than Brother Bear and Sister Bear to help see out the waning months of your family's hibernation.

Children are invited to join the action to help create magical moments in this 40-minute production with no intermission.

"Wake Up, Brother Bear!" runs April 30- May 13 at the Northbrook Theatre, 3323 Walters Avenue. Performed by Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences' talented professionals, the show will provide an interactive theater production for the very young.

"We are excited to provide an experience catered to our youngest patrons and hopefully instill a love of theater," said Performing Arts Supervisor Drew Kambach.
